Below is a list of the minimum information all competitors should know to avoid being disqualified the day of the event. We recommend all competitors read the full rules on our website.

    Weighing-in and ID Requirements
  • Competitors will weigh-in immediately before their first match, in each division.
  • Competitors will be required to weigh-in with their GI on in the Jiu Jitsu divisions.
  • Competitors will be required to weigh-in with their shorts and rash guards on in the Submission Grappling divisions.
  • Only one chance will be given to make weight. No allowance will be given. This means if the maximum weight for your division is 180 lbs and your weight is 180.1 lbs you will be disqualified.
  • Parents remember, the weight division you register your child in is the maximum weight they can weigh. If your child weighs-in over the registered weight, your child will be disqualified, and will not be able to compete.
  • Youth competitors will need their Birth Certificate to weigh-in. If your child cannot provide their birth certificate, your child will be disqualified, and will not be able to compete.
  • All Adult/Juvenile competitors will need a photo ID (such as a Drivers License or Passport) to present to the weigh-in staff, so that they can check your proper age and identity.

  • Submission Grappling (No Gi) Division uniform reminders
  • Men must compete wearing board shorts, or vale tudo shorts.
  • Women can compete wearing board shorts, spandex pants, or spandex shorts.
  • Men and women are required to wear a tight fitting rash guard either short or long sleeve; no sleeveless rash guards, t-shirts, tank tops or bare backs will be allowed.
  • Wrestling shoes, headgear, cups, braces with rigid supports, or any other kind of protectors that can alter the outcome of a match in any way are not allowed in competition.

  • Jiu Jitsu Division uniform reminders
  • GIs can be any solid color, jacket and pants must match.
  • The sleeves must reach the wrist with arms extended in front of the body.
  • The sleeves should have enough extra material to allow the official measuring tool to slide from the shoulder to the wrist.
  • Competitors are not allowed to compete with torn kimonos, sleeves or pants that are not of proper length or with rash guards underneath their GI (except in the female divisions).
  • Wrestling shoes, headgear, cups, braces with rigid supports, or any other kind of protectors that can alter the outcome of a match in any way are not allowed in competition.

  • Additional Reminders
  • Please make sure to be on time for your division; competitors who are not on time for their division will be disqualified.
  • Also, please remember there will be no refunds, even if you or your child have been disqualified.
