Location: Arlington Convention Center (ACC), 1200 Ballpark Way, Arlington, TX 76011. The ACC is conveniently located halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth on I-30 by Six Flags over Texas, Ranger Stadium and Cowboy Stadium.
Eligibility: Open to members holding current USJI, USJF, or USJA cards. Proof of membership must be presented at registration. Save time and money by purchasing your USJI card on-line before you come to the tournament by going to www.usjudo.org and purchase your card. You will receive your card INSTANTLY and be able to bring it to the tournament. Laptops will be available onsite to purchase USJI memberships with a credit card. (Please note that membership applications must be processed through the on-line kiosk provided at the tournament. Cash or checks will not be accepted for memberships. This protects both you and the tournament.)
Rules: Current IJF rules (modified). LEG GRAB ? Article 25 ? Hansoku-make (Item 12). The first violation shall be penalized with Shido and the second violation shall be penalized with Hansoku-
make. This applies to all non-Senior Divisions. JUDOGI ? Article 3 ? Is modified to use the pre-2014 gi fit requirements to be applied within reason based upon the size of the player. No hansoku-make will be given for the first violation and the player will be given the opportunity to change gis, even if the contest has started. This applies to all divisions.
The use of blue and white gis is encouraged. All competitors must have at least a white gi. A match be- tween two blue gis will not be permitted. Remember if you do not bring a blue and a white gi, you must provide your own white and blue belts. Senior and Master Novice cannot use armbars.
Method of Competition: Round Robin for divisions with 5 or less competitors. Modified Double Elimination system will be used for divisions with 6 or more competitors.
Match Duration: All junior matches are 3 minutes. All novice and masters? matches are 3 minutes. All men?s and women?s matches are 5 minutes.
Awards: 3? custom medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category will be given. The Texas club and the out-of-state club with the most pre-registered athletes will receive a special award.
Coaches: All coaches with an USA Judo Coaching Badge will be admitted at no charge. Coaching chairs will be provided.
Spectators/Parking: For those not staying at the Sheraton Hotel (adjacent to the ACC), there is a $5 per car parking fee, with come and go privileges. There is a NOT a spectator fee.
Referees: All referees who pre-register by January 22, will receive a long sleeve shirt to wear during the tournament. Out-of-town referees may request a complimentary room at the host hotel to share with one other referee. A continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshments through the day will be provided.

No JUNIOR player will be moved from their appropriate age category in order to obtain competition. The player will be given the choice of an automatic gold medal or refund of their entry fee. (If a re- fund is given, no All-Star Points, team points, or credits will be awarded for the athlete. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made. )

Players start in neutral kneeling position, facing each other.

Must continue to work towards securing pin, choke, or arm bar
Referee will stop stalemate and restart in neutral kneeling position to avoid non combativity.
If tie at the end of 3 minutes, the Referee will determine winner based on dominance.

REGISTRATION. Competitors may pre-register at a discounted rate of $50.00, with each additional division
$40.00. All entries must be POSTMARKED by Friday, January 22 to receive the discounted rate. All athletes who pre-register with the POSTMARKED deadline of 1/22 will have their name listed on the back of the tournament t-shirt. For those registering at the door, the entry fee is $55.00, with each additional division entered $45.00. Kata teams must pre-register and are $55 per team for the first kata, and $45 per team for each additional kata. The Texas club and the out-of-state club with the most pre- registered athletes will receive a special award. No refunds will be given for pre-registered athletes who are unable to attend the event. A Family Discount of $5 per family member will be given to im- mediate family members living in the same household.
T-shirt Pre-Orders: All athletes who pre-register by 1/22, will have their name listed on the back of the tournament t-shirt. Be sure you get an event t-shirt in the proper size by placing a pre-order for the tournament t-shirts! Include your order and payment with your tournament registration form and pick up your shirt at the merchandise booth during the tournament. Youth and adult sizes will be available for pre- order. Limited sizes will be available for purchase at the tournament. Short and long sleeve tshirts maybe preordered.
Hotel Information: The Sheraton Arlington is the host hotel and is located adjacent to the ACC. No need to drive to the venue, just walk out the front door and you are at the venue! You can save time and money by staying at the Sheraton with one stop! The special judo rate is $99 per night (50% discount off the $199 regular rate.)
